Baxter is optimistic as South Africa plays against Egypt

The Bafana Bafana coach believes the Pharaohs is more than just Mohamed Salah and Mahmoud Hassan.

South Africa is set to embark on a very difficult adventure, as they will play against Egypt in the Round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Pharaohs is, of course, the favorite to win the match, but for Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter, his team can have a great match today.

“The tournament is quick. We played three games in a short (period of) time,” Baxter told the media according to Goal.

“We are optimistic about facing Egypt as we know their passion and I think they will have more pressure.”

“We have to play well since Egypt is a good team and we have to be ready for the game,” he added.

“Egypt and Morocco are the finest teams in the tournament so far, and we did our best to beat Morocco, but we failed.”

La Liga and South Africa will empower women

The Spanish La Liga organization will start a grassroots football development in South Africa and the greater African continent.

“So, we have to find a way to beat the Pharaohs,” he said.

“Egypt national team is not only [Mohamed] Salah and [Mahmoud Hassan, nicknamed] Trezeguet. They have a brilliant midfielder and two talented defenders.

Baxter concluded: “We just hope to finish the game with a positive result.”
