Bayern Munich are willing to part ways with Thiago Alcantara provided a right transfer offer comes along, informs Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

Liverpool cannot afford to slack off after their Premier League success and need to further strengthen their squad in order to maintain their dominance next season.

They have already lost out on Timo Werner, who joined Chelsea. Kai Havertz, who was linked to them earlier, also appears to be slipping away from their hands as he reportedly nears a Chelsea move.

Bayern Munich’s Thiago Alcantara is another player who has been heavily linked with them for the last few months.

Thiago has just one year left on his Bayern contract and does not intend to sign an extension with the desire to take on a new challenge away from Germany. Hansi Flick previously revealed that he prefers a move to the Premier League.

Reports suggest that the Reds are indeed interested in signing the midfielder. However, they are unwilling to match his €35 million price tag.

Addressing the speculations regarding his future, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge says Thiago will be allowed to leave Allianz Arena but only for a ‘fair’ price.

“Regarding Thiago, it’s known that he told us he wanted to do something new,” Rummenigge told German publication Bild, via Goal.

“If a club approaches us that is willing to pay a fair transfer fee, we will work on it.”
