Bayern Munich were bound to sign Leroy Sane in the summer, but the German’s injury stopped – or better yet – delayed the transfer from happening.
Sane hasn’t played due to injury ever since.
Many reports talked about Bayern waiting for January in order to sign the winger permanently.
However, it now looks like that option is off the table.
According to Christian Falk, Bayern’s Head of Sports – Hasan Salihamidzic – decided against signing Sane.
It’s a surprising move, given the Bavarians’ attraction to the player.
It remains to be seen if they will look for someone else or back off from the transfer window completely.
