Bayern Munich’s Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is hopeful there is a solution in David Alaba’s contract situation but rules out a Philippe Coutinho deal.

Bayern Munich is still hopeful that they can reach an agreement to keep defender David Alaba at the club beyond his current deal.

Austrian international Alaba has entered the final year of his current deal at the Allianz Arena. Manchester City is apparently lurking in the shadows waiting to pounce and pick a world-class bargain, who is also a favorite of manager Pep Guardiola too.

The Bavarian giants CEO Rummenigge is not yet confident but is optimistic that an agreement can be reached to secure the club’s investment and the player’s future.

According to Goal, he said:

“With Alaba, I am cautiously optimistic we will find a solution.”

However, it appears that the writing is on the wall for Philippe Coutinho, as the club legend and now board member is quite adamant that the Brazilian will not be staying.

He added:

“Coutinho – as I said, the contract is running out and we cannot and will not make any further investments of this magnitude.”

SO we know Phillipe Coutinho is not staying at Bayern Munich. So then where will the Brazillian go?
