Hansi Flick was giving nothing away when it came to Philippe Coutinho and his future at Bayern Munich.

Philippe Coutinho is on loan at Bayern Munich from Barcelona until the end of June. The Bavarian giants have the option to buy the player for a staggering 120 million Euros.

Brazilian international Coutinho is currently out injured for several weeks following ankle surgery. It remains to be seen if he will even put on the Bayern jersey again.

Bayern Munich has always maintained a stance of “we will see at the end of the season” when it came to Coutinho’s future.

The end is nigh and still there is no decision either way.

In an interview reported by Goal, Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick was still giving little away.

He said:

“I can’t say what will happen with him after the season.”

“Philippe is a good guy and an excellent footballer, I really enjoy working with him.”

“We hope he can be back with us again soon and play some games before the end of the season.”

Given the current financial plight facing football, Bayern may be playing hardball in an attempt to drive the price down.

One thing that appears certain, is that Barcelona will have to cash in on Coutinho with someone if they are to have the funds to bring in their summer targets.
