Timo Werner is setting Bundesliga on fire this season with his goalscoring numbers going through the roof for RB Leipzig.
Bayern Munich are rumored to be in for Werner this summer.
The German scored 18 goals in 17 Bundesliga appearances so far.
Everyone sees him as the rightful successor to Roberto Lewandowski… except for Bayern.
Hasan Salihamidzic, Bayern’s sporting director, explained their opinion about Werner.
“With his pace, Timo Werner needs more space, which he had in the system that Leipzig played.
“The system at RB has now changed, but it’s still not as tight up front as it is with us,” Salihamidzic told Bild.
It looks like the Bavarians will look for their long-term solutions elsewhere.
Many teams will be happy to hear this, as now Werner is likely to leave Germany in the summer.
