Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic confirmed an incident occurred between Franck Ribery and a reporter in the aftermath of Saturday’s 3-2 loss to Borussia Dortmund
Reports in Germany emerged claiming Ribery had a heated exchange with fellow Frenchman Patrick Guillou at Signal Iduna Park.
Guillou, who works for global sports network beIN Sports, was allegedly pushed and slapped by Ribery.
Now Salihamidzic has confirmed that an incident between the pair had occurred and announced Bayern will meet Guillou to discuss it.
“Franck Ribery has informed us that he had an altercation with his compatriot Patrick Guillou, whom he has known well for many years,” Salihamidzic told Bild.
“We agreed with Patrick Guillou that we would speak at a personal meeting, we will talk about how we can solve the matter, and Mr Guillou has already signalled that it is in his interest.”
Despite Robert Lewandowski’s brace on Saturday, Bayern twice surrendered their lead twice to lose 3-2 on the day.
Marco Reus’ double along with a Paco Alcacer goal extended the gap between Bundesliga leaders Dortmund and Bayern to seven points.
