Sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic confirmed Bayern Munich are indeed interested in signing Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi

Due to only having 42 minutes of Premier League action under his belt this season, Hudson-Odoi has allegedly decided to leave Chelsea.

The 18-year-old winger has attracted a lot of interest from Germany with Bayern having reportedly lodged a £35m bid for him this week.

Now Salihamidzic has confirmed the Bavarians’ strong interest in Hudson-Odoi.

“If I have something to announce, I’ll do so,” said Salihamidzic, according to ESPN.

Hasselbaink: Chelsea need Hazard to stay more than ever now

Former Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink believes it's critical now the club convince Eden Hazard to commit his long-term future.

“What I can say: We like the player and take a great interest in signing him. We’ll see about the rest.”

On the reported £35m bid, he added: “That’s the state of the transfer market.

“We must identify those players which can improve us. Callum has unbelievable qualities in the dribbling, he has the pace and skills. We want to sign him.”

Salihamidzic also announced Bayern have signed French defender Benjamin Pavard from VfB Stuggart for next season.
