According to reports, the Bavarian giants are keen on signing Yannick Carrasco as the Belgian looks to make a return to European football.

For ages, Arsenal had been linked with a move for Yannick Carrasco. Indeed, the player was also open to moving to London. However, the Gunners have taken a really long time to make a decision.

The delay could cost them and they could lose another key target this summer. Reports coming from Germany suggest that Unai Emery’s team will now have to fight with Bayern Munich for Carrasco.

The reigning German champions are set to lose Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery this summer. The departure of the legendary duo leaves a void down both flanks. And the Munich hierarchy feels that Carrasco would be a great replacement.

Although Munich were more interested in bringing Leroy Sane from Manchester City, the move might not happen. City are demanding a lot of money for the German international. This has forced the Bavarians to move for Carrasco who is not going to cost a lot according to Bild.

Currently under contract with Chinese Super League outfit, Dalian Yifang, Carrasco is also looking for a way out.

After leaving Atletico Madrid in 2018, Carrasco has been a huge success at the club. But now, the player aches for a return to Europe.

Dalian Yifang don’t really want to let go of their prized asset. Watch the following video to see why:

A few days ago, Carrasco admitted that an offer is on the table and expected his current club to understand the situation.

There is now an offer on the table and the negotiations with my agent are progressing well.”

“I am the most important player in the club, but I hope the chairman understands me.”

Should Bayern Munich steal the march ahead of Arsenal, it would definitely be a huge setback for the Gunners. Already looking to rebuild the squad, Carrasco could prove to be a valuable asset.
