The Bundesliga giants have emerged as a potential destination for the Man Utd star.

Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn has ruled out a move for Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of the next season.

Ronaldo has reportedly asked to leave Manchester United ahead of the next season. Chelsea and Bayern Munich were the first names that emerged in media’s speculations over CR7’s future.

However, Bayern have confirmed they will not make a move for the 37-year-old this summer.

“As much as I appreciate Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the greatest, a move would not fit into our philosophy,” Kahn said (via Fabrizio Romano).

According to Sky Sports Germany, Bayern have held talks with Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes. However, they have made it clear they won’t make a move for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Bayern will reportedly refuse to sign Ronaldo, even if Robert Lewandowski ends up leaving Allianz Arena this summer.

The new development leaves Chelsea as Ronaldo’s most-likely destination ahead of the next season. The Blues’ new owner, Todd Boehly, is reportedly keen to sign the 37-year-old ahead of the next season.

However, Chelsea’s manager Thomas Tuchel is reportedly hesitant whether he wants CR7 in his next season’s squad.

Mendes also met Barcelona president Joan Laporta earlier this week. However, a move to Camp Nou is still unlikely for Ronaldo.
