David Beckham is hopeful that one day he can orchestrate a transfer that sees the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo join his MLS side Inter Miami.

David Beckham’s MLS franchise Inter Miami are preparing for their inaugural season.

Beckham and his business partners have built a club from the ground up. The process is far from complete, but the former United player is confident they are where they need to be.

Miami has assembled a squad, that many thought would feature far more superstars than it does.

However, in an interview with The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Beckham insists he is happy with his team. Although he admits they will look to bring in a big name or two. But they must be the right fit.

Beckham recently did an interview with Brazilian superstar Neymar, who was adamant he would join the club at some point in the future.

The former England captain is aiming bigger than Neymar though.

He is not ruling out any players of the future such as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

He said:

“We’ve been contacted by a lot of different players with possibly coming to join the team.”

“As with any owner, you really want the best players.”

“If we have the opportunity to bring in players like Cristiano or Leo, I have such admiration for them as athletes, if we could bring those players in then great.”

“But at the moment, we have a great roster.”

“It’s not about the biggest name or personality, it’s about who fits in best with the players.

“That’s what we’ll do. But, like I said, as an owner if you want to bring these players in then we have a great opportunity.”
