Newcastle United have had a successful season as they managed to avoid the relegation despite being one of the hottest candidates for being dropped out of the top division this season.

There are three players loaned in the club currently and Rafael Benitez wants to keep two of them – Islam Slimani is free to go back to Leicester but the Spaniard is planning to activate the release clause and buy Martin Dúbravka from Sparta Prague, while he also wants to keep Kenedy who has been loaned there from Chelsea.

The experienced manager spoke about these transfers as he said, according to Chronicle Live:

“We have had three players on loan. Slimani has been training today but he is free to go now because he will not be able to play in the next games.”

“Kenedy is a player that we like, he has been doing very well. We have to wait and come back to talk to Chelsea about his future.”

“But Dubravka is the easy one. We have the option and it is no secret that we are very happy with him.”

“So we will see how we finish, but that is an easy one.”
