The one year contract extension is also in line with Madrid’s transfer policy and they are happy to sanction that and make it official at the end of the season.
Since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema has been the major source of goals for Los Blancos..scoring 30 last term.
This season, Benzema has continued to impress with 13 league goals and 18 in all competitions.
