Dimitar Berbatov believes that Manchester United fans would welcome back a player like Carlos Tevez.

Manchester United are rumored to be considering a loan move to bring Carlos Tevez back to the club.

Tevez was a part of one of the greatest United teams Sir Alex Ferguson produced. However, he left under acrimonious circumstances and joined bitter rivals and neighbors Manchester City.

Former United player Berbatov does not see this as a problem. He insists that the fans would welcome a player of his caliber back to the Theatre of Dreams with open arms.

Speaking to Betfair the Bulgarian considers Tevez the ideal signing.

He said:

“There have been reports linking Carlos Tevez back to United on loan, I say why not?!”

“It’s good to get someone who knows the place knows the situation of the club and the fans.”

“Of course, he went to Man City but I’m sure the fans would welcome him back.”

“There’s no one in the team that can bully someone from the opposition like Tevez.”

“Maybe they do need Carlos Tevez for that reason, he always had that quality of shouting and fighting for the team.”

Seems like Berba may be a little out of touch with Red Devil fans.

The United faithful have taken to social media to express how unimpressed they are by the idea of his return.
