Bernardo Silva has backed Gabriel Jesus to maintain his scoring ways, after bagging a brace against Everton in Manchester City’s 3-1 win.

The Cityzens were keen on returning to winning ways after their first League defeat to Chelsea. And the responded in a stunning fashion with Jesus grabbing a double with Raheem Sterling’s header ensuring a victory over the Toffees.

Jesus’ opener for City was his first Premier League goal since August, ending a run of 11 games, and his teammate was thrilled to see him back on the scoresheet.

“It was good after the defeat against Chelsea to give an answer,” Bernardo explained via the club’s website. “It was not an easy game.

Solskjaer: Man United simply not good enough to match Man City

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer conceded that there is a "difference in quality" between Manchester United and neighbours Manchester City following Wednesday's 2-0 defeat.

“To have difficult games against Hoffenheim and Everton, it was good to come back from that.

“The next two months are hard, we need to be focused and fit, get as many wins as can to recover the first position and go as far as we can in other competitions.”

“We are happy with Jesus’ two goals and hopefully he can score more and win more titles.”
