8. Arjen Robben
Despite successful spells with Chelsea and Real Madrid, Robben’s best days were at Bayern Munich. The winger was sensational in Germany. 144 goals and 101 assists in 309 appearances proves just that.
Perhaps Robben’s most famous moment in the Bavarian jersey was scoring the winner in the 2013 Champions League final. The fact it was against rivals Borussia Dortmund made it even sweeter.
Among the Dutchman’s 20 major honours were eight Bundesliga titles, with seven of them coming in succession.
7. Sepp Maier
The Cat from Anzing was a one-club man, keeping 198 clean sheets in 648 appearances in all competitions. He stood out most for his agility, big gloves and shot-stopping abilities.
Maier won four Bundesliga titles and three consecutive European Cups with Bayern Munich. Individual awards also came his way, including three German Footballer of the Year prizes.
