Paul Breitner, aka “Mr Reliable”, was renown in Germany for making the right decision at exactly the right moment.

The 1981 Ballon d’Or runner-up made 47 appearances during his career for Die Mannschaft, and won the 1974 World Cup.

Breitner also enjoyed a stellar three-year spell at Real Madrid, which saw him win La Liga twice and a Copa del Rey in the mid-70s.
