Just when we feared Robert Lewandowski would make the Bundesliga a one-man show this season, in came Werner.
The German striker has been in scintillating form with 20 goals in his 19 league outings. It’s put RB Leipzig into first place in the standings and led to hopes of a first-ever Bundesliga title.
There is still a long ahead, of course.
But with Julian Nagelsmann masterminding things and Werner scoring non-stop, who’s to say that Leipzig can’t pull it off?
