The Netherlands’ record scorer overcame an injury-barren start to his Gunners career to become a lethal threat in front of goal.

Under Wenger’s tutelage, Van Persie transitioned from a left-winger to one of Europe’s best strikers during his days in London.

He scored 132 goals in his 278 appearances across all competitions.
