Good old Gilberto, dubbed “the invisible wall” in his native Brazil, was a rock during his days in the Arsenal midfield.

While he was never much of a goalscorer, the Brazilian was able to provide some immense support for the defence with his tight man-marking skills.

Arsenal have unfortunately never really been able to fill the gap ever since Gilberto left in 2008.
