After the last night’s draw to Salzburg, Napoli failed to capitalize on their chance to secure the knockout stage of the Champions League.
The club forced the team into a training retreat after a defeat to Roma last weekend. This meant that everyone had to spend five days straight at the training centre.
Napoli held to a 1-1 draw at home to Salzburg so #LFC move to the top of Group E.

Insigne, the club captain, allegedly told Laurentiis’ son: “We go home. Go tell it to your dad.”
However, Aurelio De Laurentiis is not messing around.
The club published a public statement, saying:
“With regard to the behaviour of the first-team squad on Tuesday night, the club announces that it will do everything in its power to protect its economic interests, assets, image rights and disciplinary interests.
“The club would also like to make clear that it has entrusted first-team coach Carlo Ancelotti with decision-making responsibility as regards the first-team training camp.
“There will be no more press statements for the foreseeable future.”
It will be interesting to see how everyone at the club reacts. Napoli is currently second in their Champions League group.
Despite that, a bad run of domestic results caused Laurentiis to force the team into a retreat which they obviously didn’t respect.
