Liverpool have been handed a big blow as skipper Jordan Henderson has been ruled out for three weeks.
Henderson will be out of action for at least three weeks..after suffering a hamstring injury as revealed by Jurgen Klopp.
The Liverpool captain came off as a substitute after picking up the injury in his side’s defeat to Atletico in the Champions League.
The 29-year-old pictured leaving hospital on Friday following a scan on his hamstring.
Klopp has revealed it could have been worse but Henderson is now set to miss three weeks at least.
“It could have been worse,” said Klopp in his Friday press conference via Mirror. “We all know it was a hamstring injury.”
“It’s not that bad but he will be out for three weeks or so which is not cool but as we see it, it’s lucky.”
Henderson has been integral in Liverpool’s dominance this season with many tipping as the pole candidate for the PFA player of the season award.
His absence will be a big blow for the club.
