Jerome Boateng maintains he cherishes his time in the Premier League and would not turn down an opportunity to make a return.

With just a year remaining on his current contract, Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng’s future has looked uncertain in recent times.

A few reports suggest Boateng, who played a pivotal role in his side’s domestic double this season, would see out his contract, while the others claim he is willing to listen to offers.

Before arriving at the Allianz Stadium 2011, the center-back spent a season with Manchester City. He struggled to make a name for himself and could play only 24 times before suffering a knee injury.

The Germany international has enjoyed a quite successful career with Bayern so far, having won eight Bundesliga titles, five DFB Pokal, and a Champions League.

In an interview with CGTN Sports, China’s global television network, Boateng recently admitted that he would consider a return to the Premier League.

“I wouldn’t say no. I love watching the Premier League and I loved playing there. It helped me a lot to train with world-class players,” he told [via Daily Mail].

“I don’t know what will happen next. You never know but it’s not like I would say that I don’t want to play there. It’s definitely one of my favorite leagues.”
