Kevin-Prince Boateng said he “didn’t have to think twice” about moving from Fiorentina to Turkish side Beskistas this winter.
Kevin-Prince Boateng recently joined Beskistas in a loan move, with a performance based option to make the deal permanent at the end of the season.
The former Ghana international struggled for game-time at Fiorentina and claims he didn’t have to think too much when the offer came in.
Boateng has always been an admirer of Turkish football and that made the move appeal to him even more.
Now, he has embarked on a new adventure in Turkey and reveals he has always followed Besiktas.
“I have always looked at Turkey and Besiktas as a priority and I wanted to come here,” he told his new club’s official website via Football-Italia. “In Berlin, I had many Turkish friends who followed Besiktas.
“As soon as they heard about the news that I would come here, they wrote me: ‘You are finally coming home’.
“When the proposal arrived, I didn’t have to think twice about it and told my manager: ‘We accept this offer’.”
