According to Kevin-Prince Boateng, the “Serie A is better than the Bundesliga” as he explained why he chose Fiorentina over other options.
After six months playing for Barcelona on loan, Kevin-Prince Boateng has decided to move to Fiorentina in the Italian Lega Serie A.
And he explained today why he chooses to move to Florence.
“I had an offer from Eintracht Frankfurt too, but I think this season the level in Serie A is superior to the Bundesliga,” he told Football Italia.
“There are at least 10 clubs that can challenge to enter Europe and I’d add Cagliari in there too.”
“It’s going to be an entertaining Serie A campaign and that is one of the reasons why I decided to remain,” he added.
“I am also here thanks to Melissa and she had an important role in choosing Florence. She is in love with the city and knows it well, so she was cheering on this solution.”
“I am 32 years old now and I feel in good shape. I like the idea of playing as a ‘False 9’ and have been considered a bit of a Joker in the pack for years now. It can be an advantage, but also damaging to change role all the time,” he commented.
“Nobody knows that after Milan, I had the opportunity to join Manchester United, but Sir Alex Ferguson asked himself: what position am I meant to play him in?”
“I was a jack of all trades in his view and master of none. The transfer was abandoned and I started to focus on being more specific in my approach,” he commented.
