The Rossoneri director has said they didn’t talk to anybody else but Giampaolo, as he was presented as the new manager.
Marco Giampaolo was presented today as the new AC Milan coach.
And for the Italian Lega Serie A club directors, he was the only choice and they didn’t talk to anybody else.
“It was an easy decision and a logical one in football terms to hire this coach. We are very much in sync, we know the type of football that Giampaolo likes,” Rossoneri director Zvonimir Boban told Football Italia.
“The coach hasn’t made that many requests, as we all believe the more quality in the squad, the better for everyone concerned.”
He explained: “For years now, Marco has been offering something different in Serie A, a concept of beautiful football that respects Milan’s history and is what the San Siro crowd wants to see.
“Obviously, via beautiful football, you also need to achieve results. We are convinced that we’re on the right track with him.”
“When Paolo Maldini called, he asked me which coach I saw as being suited to Milan. I replied Giampaolo and he said that was the only name in his mind, too,” he added.
“I am very happy to be back here with my club colors. When Paolo called, and I also knew Ivan Gazidis, I took very little time to make my decision.”
