Leonardo Bonucci admits every Juventus player has learned something and progressed by simply observing Cristiano Ronaldo.
Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci feels apart from his extraordinary footballing talent, Cristiano Ronaldo‘s consistency is what sets him apart from the other players.
The Portuguese superstar took his goal tally to 21 during Juve’s victory over SPAL in their last league outing. Ronaldo also equaled the Serie A record of scoring in 11 consecutive matches.
Despite having reached a late stage in his career, the 35-year old is showing little signs of slowing down.
And Ronaldo’s teammate Bonucci feels the number 7’s impressive form is the result of his sheer determination.
“What makes him an extraordinary player, beyond the technique he has, is consistency,” Bonucci told L’Equipe.
“He never lets the smallest detail go against him. We return from travel at 2 am, and at 3 am, he changes and he dives into cold water to recover. He is constantly striving to be the best. He is a war machine. “
“You can only admire and try to pick two or three things from him that can make you better. In the two years that he has been there, I think that each of us has stolen something from him, by observing it, and progressed thanks to him. “
