Fabio Borini recently praised new Milan Coach Marco Giampaolo, to the detriment of Gennaro Gattuso.
The versatile forward, who was at times used as a left-back by Gattuso last season, spoke at a Press conference ahead of the International Champions Cup tie with Benfica.
The former Liverpool forward seem to resonate with the ideas of the ex-Sampdoria gaffer.
“Giampaolo’s ideas are different to the ones we had in the past, they are more complex, entertaining and proactive,” said Borini via Football Italia.
“We don’t sit back and wait for the opposition to come to us, we take them on ourselves. It’s a bit like the Milan I used to watch when I was little: we try to dominate the game.
“We like to keep hold of the ball more than chase after it. That reflects our characteristics and the way we want to play football, it’s all much more enticing.”

AC Milan missed out on a Champions League spot last season despite coming agonisingly close.
Giampaolo will be aiming to return the Italian giants to the pinnacle of European football during his managerial reign.
