Levante striker Borja Mayoral says the team is always ready to put up a good fight against the big teams.

The Real Madrid loanee who has not enjoyed enough playing time since the start of the season says the readiness and positive attitude of first-team players have brought more competition into the team hence making it difficult for squad changes.

“Levante competes against everyone, against the big teams and not so big. This league is very close. Barcelona are special because they’re the leader. But we are doing things well and I think we have to go for it.” Borja told Marca.

On his role in the team, he said: “I’m having trouble getting into the starting XI because the team is doing well and the players in my position are performing.

“There’s a lot of competition, and that’s good. It makes you demand more. I have come to help the team meet its objectives. This is a team. There are very good forwards and I have to work to have my chances.”
