Brazil want Neymar to compete in the Olympics for a third time

Brazil are interested in getting Neymar to feature at the upcoming Olympic Games in Japan. This would be the third Olympics of the Brazilian’s career.

Neymar could be making a third appearance in the upcoming Olympics taking place in Japan.

Brazil won their first Olympic gold medal with the PSG forward leading the line and there are calls for the forward to take part one more time.

According to Globoesporte via Marca, the Brazilian Federation are already negotiating with Paris Saint-Germain over the possibility of the player’s participation.

The Copa America is also taking place this summer and Neymar was made to ignore the competition by Barcelona when he took part in the Olympics in 2016.

With lots at stake and recent injuries, it remains to be seen if the 28-year-old will take part in both competitions.

The Real Madrid trio of Vinicius, Rodrygo and Reinier are also names that are being considered for the Brazil squad.

As per the same report, the Brazilian federation have also been speaking to Los Blancos about these three players.

This means Neymar could miss the start of the next season if he does go ahead to partake in the Olympics
