The Belgian footballer is in Real Madrid’s radar, and after winning the Europa League he confirmed what his fans were fearing.
“I don’t know if this is a goodbye, but if it’s a goodbye, thank you for this seven years,” said Chelsea’s footballer Eden Hazard.
The Belgian national team player won today the UEFA Europa League with this team, scoring two goals against Arsenal in Baku, Azerbaijan.
And after seven years with the English Premier League side, he seems to be leaving.
He’s already in the Real Madrid radar, and he is looking for a new challenge.
“Just happy for the boys, for me, for the fans, for the staff,” he told a field reporter after the match.
“We finished third, and won the Europa League,” he added.
“I think we did well all together, in the end, we finished well.”
The player scored 21 goals for Chelsea this season, his biggest tally since joining the Blues.
“I wanted to win this, not just for myself, but for all the Chelsea family. I think all together we made something great,” he continued.
“It’s not so simple, but the end is perfect.”
Asked if this means he’s leaving Chelsea, he said: “I think so, I want to be challenged like I say last year after the World Cup.”
“I’m still waiting like you are waiting, we will see in a couple of days.”
“I don’t know if this is a goodbye, but if it’s a goodbye thank you for this seven years,” he concluded.
👋🏻 “Eso pienso, es un momento de afrontar nuevos desafíos… Estoy esperando como tú, como el resto de los fans”
