Blaise Matuidi has been pulled out of the France squad ahead of the international fixture.
The international break is underway and the players will now focus on the qualification stage of the upcoming EURO 2020. France will face Moldova and Albania before they cement their place in EURO 2020. But, unfortunately, Blaise Matuidi will not be traveling with his international teammates.
Matuidi suffered from a rib injury against Juventus’ 1-0 victory against AC Milan. The midfielder was then taken off by his doctors. Juventus’ medical reports have, as mentioned in Calciomercato, suggested that the injury is serious enough for Matuidi to miss the international trip.
The 32-year old posted his injury update on Twitter.
“Unfortunately, I have to miss the next matches, but I’m sure that the national team will be able to qualify. I can’t wait to come back for the next few opportunities.”
