The Chinese FA has temporarily postponed all football fixtures across the country due to the coronavirus outbreak that has gripped the nation.

In a desperate attempt to curb the spread of the coronavirus, Chinese authorities have stepped in. They have abandoned all football matches across the country.

The drastic move has been taken in an attempt to stop the spread of a killer virus. Coronavirus has gripped the most vastly populated country in the world.

The CSL is one of the most lucrative on the planet. With a huge local following and an influx of national wealthy investors. The CSL has been around bringing in notorious talent from all over the globe.

It appears though that everything is on hold for right now.

The league’s 2020 season was set to start in just three weeks. But in a statement reported by Goal, everything is on hold for the time being.

The statement read:

“The Chinese Football Association will continue to maintain close communication with national authorities. To determine the timing of each season’s events.”

“This is in combination with the actual development of the epidemic situation and makes reasonable adjustments to the system, schedule, and scale of some events when necessary.”
