Real Madrid wants Neymar if they can’t have Paul Pogba.

According to US sports network ESPN, Real Madrid plan on going after Neymar Jr. if they fail to land Paul Pogba by 5 pm tomorrow.

If Pogba is still st United when the British transfer window closes, the deal will not happen.

There is no way United will let a player of that calibre go without a ready-made replacement.

If this is the case as many expect, Real will attempt to hijack what Barcelona feel is their deal.

The rumour is that PSG would rather not deal with Barca. There is no love lost between the two teams.

After the purchase of Neymar for 200 plus million, there were rather harsh words exchanged.

Paris Saint-Germain would be open to Madrid’s approach. They have stated clearly, they are ready to sell as long as their price is met.

They will not keep a player who doesn’t want to be there and could possibly cause distraction and disruption with their behaviour on and off the field.

Neymar for all his genius falls into both these categories

They are understood to at least want back what they paid two years ago for the Brazilian superstar.

Marcelo Gallardo will not replace Ernesto Valverde

Opinion: Barcelona will not sack Ernesto Valverde

Valverde will continue his role at the Camp Nou despite River Plate manager, Marcelo Gallardo, touted as his replacement. Despite going into the international break...

While there has yet to be any concrete offer from any party, the interest is believed to be genuine.

It is understood by ESPN’s sources that the relationship between Madrid president Perez and PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is very good. Thus helping the likelihood of any deal.

It remains to be seen where Madrid would get the money from, having already spent around 300 million pounds on signings.

This may be where a Mbappe type deal comes into play. He signs a one-year loan deal and then Madrid pays up the fee next year.

Neymar to Madrid is a real possibility. That would really ruffle a lot of feather at Barca and probably shut the door on him ever returning to Catalonia.
