Italy has announced the date it intends to bring Serie A football back into action.
Serie A is the latest top European league to announce its intentions along with a tentative date to return to action.
The German Bundesliga is set to kick back off this weekend on May 16th.
The Spanish La Liga selected June 12th.
The French Ligue 1 decided to go ahead and scrap its remaining fixtures, and declare its Champions and relegated teams accordingly.
In a statement reported by Goal, Serie A has been given permission by the Italian government to resume action on June 13th.
The statement read:
“Regarding the resumption of sporting activity, the date of June 13 June for the resumption of the championship was indicated, in accordance with government decisions and in accordance with the medical protocols for the protection of players and all professionals.”
The resumption of Serie A will not only see the fight for the title of the best team in Italy will resume but also the best player.
