BREAKING NEWS: Tottenham make headway in Ndombele transfer

Ndombele could be on the verge of sealing a big money move to Tottenham as the London club about to agree upon a fee for the Lyon man.

French press has revealed that Tanguy Ndombele is edging closer and closer to securing a move to Tottenham Hotspur. Reportedly, Olympique Lyonnais and Tottenham are about to agree to a transfer for the young midfielder.

After signing for Les Gones from Amiens two years ago, Ndombele is set for another move in his playing career. As reported by Foot Mercato, the two clubs are almost there in terms of negotiating a transfer fee.

Although Juninho and Jean-Michel Aulas have given no indication to sell the player, a sizeable fee must have convinced them into allowing Ndombele to leave.

“He did not say; tomorrow I’m leaving. He has been solicited by most major clubs and when you have the biggest clubs in Europe knocking on your door, you listen. I have not spoken with him directly since his matches for France”, Aulas had said on Tuesday.

Kevin De Bruyne slams VAR handball rules: “It’s confusing”

Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne believes the VAR handball rule isn't consistent after his team were denied a late winner against Tottenham.

However, it appears that the landscape has changed completely with Lyon willing to part ways with their star midfielder. Although the club isn’t in dire need to raise finances, they might never get a better chance to sell a player for so much profit.

Mauricio Pochettino is a huge fan of the France international and feels that he will add the sort of bite in the midfield that the team was missing last season. Victor Wanyama was brought from Southampton for that role but the Kenyan’s injury problems have affected his performances.

Eric Dier on the other hand, hasn’t proven himself to be a consistent performer whenever tasked with the holding midfield job.

And with Ndombele in the team, Pochettino will have a commanding presence in midfield that can really take care of things and given Christian Eriksen more freedom to cause devastation in the attacking third.
