The United States women’s team star Alex Morgan is expecting a baby girl.
Morgan and husband Servando Carrasco took to social media to make the announcement that they were expecting their first child together.
Morgan 30 years of age, plays domestically for the Orlando Pride.
She was part of the USWNT that won the Women’s World Cup this summer.
Morgan finished joint-top scorer in the competition.
The new baby is due in April 2020, three months before the USA is scheduled to play at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
The striker took to social media to make her official announcement.
“Newest member of the Carrasco family, coming soon.”
“Already in love with our baby girl.”
The announcement was alongside a picture of her and husband Servando Carrasco.

Morgan has scored 107 times for her country in 169 appearances and won the Women’s World Cup in 2015 and 2019.
She was named in the FIFPro World XI in 2016, 2017 and 2019, and also won the Women’s Champions League while on loan with Lyon in 2017.
There was no reference to Morgans’ availability to play after her pregnancy.
Her Husband Carrasco, 31, is a midfielder for the LA Galaxy, and getting ready for the 2019 playoff clash with LAFC.
He posted on social media:

The pair have been married since 2014.
Morgan told the People of her joy.
“I’m overjoyed to grow my family.”
“She’s the best World Cup gift I could have asked for.”
