After a very poor start to the season and just two wins in the last 12 matches, PSG have sacked Mark van Bommel as their manager.
Mark van Bommel competed for the title with Ajax until the very end last season.
However, the team’s performances were nowhere near those of the previous season.
After falling behind Ajax early in the season, the board decided to cut their losses.
The official website published a statement, saying:
“The decline is too large and unworthy of PSV.
“The matches are the defining moments, but the process around them is also decisive.
“We monitor this intensively. PSV is a club where we try to help and support each other. That has also been the case in recent months. “
The new name on the bench? A very well-known Dutch striker, Ruud van Nistelrooy, who will be promoted from the Under-19 team.
