Pablo Mari’s move from Flamengo to Arsenal is back on after the two clubs made a breakthrough in negotiations.
Finally some good news on the transfer front for Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta. Word out of Goal Brazil is that the deal to bring Spanish center-back Mari to the Emirates Stadium is back on.
Mari was pictured a few days ago at London’s Heathrow Airport with Arsenal’s technical director Edu. However, he returned to Brazil after the clubs could not agree on a transfer fee.
It is understood that the player has already passed his medical and agreed personal terms.
The breakthrough means the player will be arriving on an initial loan, until the end of the season. The Gunners will pay a loan fee of 4.25 million pounds and have the option to buy in the summer.
Flamengo have already unveiled Mari’s replacement, Leo Pereira.
