Brentford 4-0 Man Utd: Player Ratings as rampant Bees thrash United on home soil

The Red Devils suffered another disappointing defeat in their second league game under Erik ten Hag.

Brentford smashed Manchester United 4-0 in their Premier League match on Saturday. A brilliant first-half display was enough for the Bees to snatch a home win over Erik ten Hag’s side.

Man Utd at rock bottom!

United made a few early attempts to open the scoring against their hosts, but they were too disorganized in midfield to create any serious chances.

Brentford broke the deadlock only ten minutes into the game, and it was only downhill from there for the Red Devils.

De Gea made an unbelievable blunder on Josh Dasilva’s opener, but he couldn’t do much when Mathias Jensen doubled Brentford’s lead in the 18th minute.

Man Utd pushed to get back into the game, with Cristiano Ronaldo missing a serious chance minutes after Jensen’s goal.

However, it was Brentford who took advantage of United’s embarrassing defensive display to score their third goal of the night.

Ben Mee made it 3-0 for Brentford in the 30th minute before Bryan Mbeumo completed Man Utd’s humiliation five minutes later.

Being 4-0 down, Man Utd pushed hard to find the back of the net in the second period. Eriksen got the closes to scoring against his former team.

But Brentford’s solid defensive performance prevented Man Utd from ruining their clean sheet.

Having lost their last two league games, United are now at the bottom of the Premier League table.

What’s next for Man United?

Ten Hag will now have to prepare his side for their upcoming clash against Liverpool next Monday.

Let’s see if the Red Devils can bounce back from their disappointing start to the league against their arch-rivals.
