A goal and an assist for Bruno Fernandes inspired Manchester United to a 3-0 victory over Watford this afternoon.

Bruno Fernandes, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood fired Manchester United to a 3-0 win over Watford at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese scored his first goal for United and created one more as the Red Devils extended their unbeaten run to six matches in all competitions.

United survived some nervous moments and Watford had an equaliser ruled out for handball before Martial doubled their advantage.

But it was Fernandes who ran the show throughout.

Fernandes got on the scoresheet when he was brought down by Ben Foster and took a calm finish for himself.

Six minutes later, he turned provider for Anthony Martial.

United’s third was the pick of the goals, Greenwood starting a move that ended with Fernandes rolling the ball to him just inside the box .

The teenager cracked an unstoppable shot into the top corner of the net off the frame of the goal.

Fernandes put in a performance that made his fee look like a bargain and he looks to have added some firepower to United’s midfield.

His game statistics via Squawka showed he truly had a brilliant day on the pitch.
