Gianluigi Buffon insists Cristiano Ronaldo, like anyone else, is free to make his own decisions after he didn’t show up at the Ballon d’Or ceremony

The five-time winner came in second-place for the 2018 Ballon d’Or with his former Real Madrid team-mate Luka Modric taking home the big prize from Paris on Monday night.

But Ronaldo’s no-show at the ceremony in France raised a few eyebrows with the Portuguese also failing to attend the FIFA awards in London earlier this year.

Although former Juventus goalkeeper Buffon insists Ronaldo is free to do what he wishes.

Conte satisfied with tenure as Chelsea boss

Antonio Conte disclosed that he is completely satisfied with the experience he garnered as Chelsea manager. Conte won the Premier League title in his debut season...

“I think we are all free people,” said Buffon, according to FourFourTwo.

“Everybody decides what he wants of his life.”

Despite not winning any awards this year, Ronaldo’s superb start at Juventus continued on Saturday by scoring in their 3-0 Serie A win over Fiorentina.

The forward has now managed 11 goals and seven assists in 18 appearances in all competitions for Juventus.
