Bundesliga fixtures released

The Bundesliga have released the fixtures for the 2018/19 season with champions Bayern Munich set to commence with the defence of their crown against Hoffenheim at the Allianz Arena

The Bavarians have won the league title in Germany for the past six seasons and will face off against Hoffenheim, whose manager Julian Nagelsmann will be taking charge of fellow Bundesliga side RB Leipzig the following season.

Die Kraichgauer finished in third place in the league standings last season as they qualified for the Champions League for the first time in their history and so, therefore, they should prove themselves to be challenging opponents in what will be new Bayern boss Niko Kovac’s first Bundesliga game in charge of the German giants following his arrival from Eintracht Frankfurt to replace the retired Jupp Heynckes.

Bayern will then meet Stuttgart, before later facing Bayer Leverkusen, Schalke and Augsburg in their first five games.

New Borussia Dortmund boss Lucien Favre will begin life at the club against RB Leipzig.

The Bundesliga beings on August 24 with the following fixtures below.

The German league also released a table of all the fixtures for the 2018/19 season.
