Burnley managed to leave Anfield with a one-all draw and bring an end to Liverpool’s 100% home record for the season.
Burnley not only brought an end to a remarkable season record for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, but they also helped their chances of European football next season.
Going one-nil down in the 34th minute to an Andy Robertson goal made things difficult for the Clarets. They were then consequently being bombarded by relentless waves of attack, that amounted to 28 shots, of which 19 were on target.
Add to that over 70% possession for Liverpool and Sean Dyche’s side was under the cosh for the vast majority of the game.
However, somehow between the amazing hands of Nick Pope and an equalizer from Jay Rodriguez in the 69th minute, Burnley managed to do what everyone else so far had failed to do this season.
Burnley left Anfield with a share of the spoils and brought the 100% home record to an end.
