According to the Spanish veteran midfielder, Dutch youngster Frenkie de Jong has to change his mentality from the Ajax mindset to the Blaugrana idea.
Former Ajax starlet Frenkie de Jong moved from the Dutch Eredivisie to the Spanish La Liga side Barcelona this summer.
And according to his new teammate Sergio Busquets the player needs to adapt to the Blaugrana.
“He must adapt to a style of football other than that of Ajax,” Busquets said to Goal.
“But he will be great, both now and in the future, he can be one of the best.”
“It is an incredible number of matches,” Busquets said about the 167 caps Sergio Ramos is set to record today.
“He is one of the best in the world, and he is lucky to have been able to play so many, to go far in many tournaments.”
“He has won two European Championships and the World Cup. It is an honor to have him here as captain,” he added.
“You keep going year after year. It depends on how I feel and the confidence of the coach. I am only thinking about this season, to keep working to be better.
“Then there is the European Championship and that is what concerns me. From there, I would not know what to tell you,” the player concluded.
