Calvert-Lewin has all the necessary attributes and can become one of Europe’s best in due time, according to Carlo Ancelotti.
Calvert-Lewin has impressed manager Carlo Ancelotti who believes he can be one of Europe’s best with all his attributes.
The 22-year-old signed a five-year contract extension with Everton yesterday and has gotten lots of praise from Ancelotti.
This season, Calvert-Lewin has largely impressed with 13 league goals making him four off the top scorer and Everton’s highest goalscorer so far.
His most recent goal came against United where he showed great striker instinct to force a freak deflection off David De Gea into the net.
Manager Ancelotti insists Calvert-Lewin will be crucial for Everton and already has all the attributes to thrive as one of Europe’s top guns.
“Dominic has all the attributes to become one of the best strikers in England and in Europe. He is fast, has good skills, is strong in the air and works extremely hard for the team.” Ancelotti told Everton’s website.
“He also has a fantastic mentality and his desire to improve has impressed me ever since I came to the club.
“I am very happy he has signed this new contract, in the same week Mason Holgate committed his future to the club, and I am confident they will be important players as we aim to bring success to Everton.”
Calvert-Lewin has also been mentioned as one of the forwards in line to feature for England at the EUROS…if he keeps up his current form.
