Capello backs Juventus to win the Champions League

Former Milan and Juventus manager talked about “The Old Lady” and confirmed that he holds them as favorites to win the Champions League this season.

Commenting on a recent Juventus match against Atletico, Fabio Capello had all sorts of praise for Sarri’s team.

In his interview with Tuttosport, Capello said:

“It means taking the field with the opponent’s respect and the desire to win, always. In fact Juventus, even after the mockery of the comeback suffered, in the last minutes did not settle for an away draw and sought the goal of 3-2. I am convinced that if Juve will face every game with the personality of this game against Atletico Madrid, they will play with everyone and can get to the final.

“De Ligt? He is young and should be given time to find confidence in an environment, a game and new companions. The qualities are not up for debate: he is a great defender. In the summer Juve built a super squad thanks to a market of 9 and a half. And I say 9 and a half only because I’d never give a 10.

Genoa, Aurelio Andreazzoli, Serie A

Andreazzoli knows his time at Genoa might be over

Genoa manager Aurelio Andrazzoli is sad after his team was trashed 5-1 by Parma this week in the Italian Lega Serie A.

“The qualities are not up for debate: he is a great defender. In the summer Juve built a super squad thanks to a market of 9 and a half. And I say 9 and a half only because I’d never give a 10.”

It’s obvious that Capello is more than satisfied with the players’ approach.

Juventus started the season strongly, as they got two wins in the first two games of the league. However, the match against Fiorentina ended in an uninspiring draw.

Juventus came back after the draw to play in a spectacle at Wanda Metropolitano against Atletico Madrid. After thrilling 90 minutes with the scoreboard showing 2-2, Ronaldo almost scored a spectacular winner in the injury time.

This prompted some positive feedback both from the fans and the experts. Juventus will look to get back to winning ways this weekend against Verona at home, where they should get an easy three points.
