Fabio Capello believes that Lampard has what it takes to become England’s manager.
The England team traveled to Kosovo with their feet already in the next year’s competition. Nevertheless, the Three Lions did not let that affect their stride. England beat their opponents 4-0 to continue their excellent run of form. Although Garry Southgate’s plans are showing great results, Fabio Capello has suggested Frank Lampard to take the national managerial role.
Under Frank Lampard, Chelsea have managed to maintain a consistent form throught this season. The 41-year old had put his money on the younger players and he seems to be getting a significant return.
As a result, former England manager Fabio Capello thinks the Chelsea boss will be successful with his national team. Capello, who also managed Russia, also revealed that he was unhappy to see Lampard lose at the start
“I don’t know. Probably … because he can do it. He understands everything and has started without fear and put young players on the pitch,’ the Italian told Sky Sports.
“I follow him. I watch all the games and I was upset when he started the season and he lost two games and the team didn’t play well.
‘Now, the results are good and the position is really good and without the [transfer] market.”
