Liverpool’s legend and an all-time centre-back Jamie Carragher talked about Liverpool’s shining star from Senegal – Sadio Mane.

After Klopp’s Liverpool started off the Premier League with eight consecutive wins, plaudits are coming from all sides.

Thus it’s no wonder that Jamie Carragher is among the first ones to deliver those plaudits.

After wearing the shirt in more than 500 appearances, Carragher knows a thing or two about being part of the Reds family.

For that reason, Sadio Mane will be thrilled to hear that the Englishman praised him as only a few would.

According to Express, “Carra” said that Mane is his favorite player:

“Even after the first couple of games I said Mane, probably along with Raheem Sterling, was possibly the best left winger in the world.

“I absolutely love him, he’s my favourite player at the club.

Michael Carrick, who spent twelve years of his career with United as a player, has claimed that the young players have woken up the fan in him.

“He’s brilliant, he’s always got a smile on his face, always there, always gets knocked about, gets goals, setting others up.

“He’s the one who came in at the very start under Klopp.

“His first real big signing, and I think ever since then he’s just been getting better and better. He’s just a machine.”

Carragher regularly comments on the events in the Premier League, especially Liverpool, as he’s working as a pundit for years now.

Meanwhile, Sadio Mane is having perhaps the best season of his career.

After being a key part of winning the Champions League last season, the Senegalese scored five goals already in the Premier League this season.

Sufficient to say that his best editions will be crucial if Liverpool are planning on winning the league for the first time after 30 years.
