Carlos Carvalhal managed to improve the performances of Swansea a lot and suddenly, they are not considered to be the biggest favourite to be relegated as he managed to beat both Liverpool and Arsenal at home during January.
The Portuguese coach who took over Paul Clement managed to get the Welsh club from the bottom of the table and he has been praised a lot lately – so it is obvious that he has been in a good mood recently.
He spoke about his impact on the team and how he tries to put a smile back on his players’ faces, according to Sky Sports:
“I don’t work in the circus. I’m not a clown!”
“You ask about motivation and atmosphere, and I answer it is everything together. I look to do things in the echo environment where things make sense if they are connected.”
“If you are more open and can do a joke with a player it doesn’t make another manager better than one that has a different profile.”
“When you have a lot of stress around your team the best thing is to try and put a smile on their faces. But I can’t say this is the key – we have not achieved anything so far.”
